Thank you for your interest in becoming a Contract Instructor for the West Coast Recreation Services, Inc. (WCRS). Below you will find a Contract Instructor Application. Applications need to be submitted three to six months prior to the desired session/season. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted regarding its status.
What is a Contract Instructor?
A Contract Instructor is an Independent Contractor who will provide fee-based programs and classes for WCRS to offer to schools, HOAs, and local government agencies.
An Independent Contractor is not an employee. Contract Instructors sign a their proposal. They receive a percentage of the revenue WCRS collects from program/class participants. Each calendar year, WCRS will provide a 1099 Tax Form. WCRS will retain a portion of the fees charged to participants to cover facility usage, registration, administration, and promotion of your classes.
What skills is WCRS seeking in a Contract Instructor?
We are always looking for motivated, energetic and professional contract instructors to teach classes that enhance the quality of life of the particpants who utilizes our services.
A Contract Instructors must possess strong teaching skills, be positive, organized, have good communication skills, and demonstrate a desire to develop and promote their program. We select Contractor Instructor based on qualifications, date and time availability, need for a program, and marketability.
